What is Signal Layer Geomembrane?

Signal Layer Geomembrane or composite which is fabricated of two layers of geomembrane sheets, is known as an important standard in European countries these days.

The purpose of fabricating  this product is to identify and detect geomembrane seams, defects and damages.

Geomembrane which is commonly used in concrete structures might be affected by impact and rupture. Polyethylene signal layer geomembrane consist of two layers and two colors, and makes it easy to detect damage in the cases of perforation and rupture.

In damaged area, the upper layer which has typically a bright color, starts to flake and the dark color of the bottom layer gets visible and the possible damage can be recognized by naked eye. This is how signal layer geomembrane works. So, the damaged parts will be easily recognized and you can attempt to fix them.
