A green roof 3D drainage layer is usually an HDPE (high density polyethylene) geomembrane that stores water in cups, so that plants can draw on it in times of need.

These panels fit easily together and they are one of the most important layers to make a green roof.

As drainage panels are resistant to root penetration, they are the best option for roof garden drainage.

As drainage layer has cups to store water, it prevents the plant dehydration in the least rainy seasons. It also reduces soil thickness and green roof’s weight.

To make a roof garden, drainage panel is installed upper than geo textile and moisture insulation (PVC geomembrane)

Advantages of 3D drainage (geodrian):

• The drainage is made of polymer and it’s resistant to environmental effects.
• As these panels are not thick (3cm), the required volume of excavation is reduced.

Applications of 3D drainage panels (aquacell):

• Roof garden drainage: the major application of these panels is roof garden drainage. As these panels can store excess water on their cups, the needed moisture for the plant will be retained.
• Building foundation drainage: As we know, water is one of the most destructive factors in destruction of structures. It can cause irreparable damages to the buildings if not controlled. This product is widely used in areas where underground water level or rainfall is high.
• Wall drainage: drainage is widely used in wall drainage in tunnels and underground structures adjacent to ground water.

Under roads, airport runways or railways drainage: in cases where soil subsidence may occur, due to the high load-bearing of drainage panels, they are the best options.
